The Anglo-French Concorde was put into commercial operation in 1976, the Soviet Tu-144 in 1977, and tu-144 was out of business after only half a year. Concorde was in operation until 2003, but its high ticket prices still couldn’t make up for the airline’s losses.In the nearly 20 years since Concorde was taken off the market, there have been a number of supersonic passenger aircraft projects in the United States, Europe and other countries, but none have been put into commercial operation.
