Electric bicycles have had the best year since ever, so for the average Joe and Jane, it might be somewhat difficult to come across an e-bike that is truly, instantly memorable. Reevo is one of those e-bikes.
Very unique-looking creation called Reevo, which was the result of four years of R+D, prototyping and testing before arriving at the finished product.with its avant-garde aesthetic, the reevo bike claims to be the electric bike of the future, boasting a sort-of-novel design — wheels that have no hubs of spokes.
Reevo has hubless, spokeless wheels.Hubless wheels aren’t entirely new, having appeared on the futuristic Cyclotron e-bike several years ago.
no spokes means that Reevo can store your stuff inside the wheels! the makers boast that Reevo comes with in-wheel storage space because of it, which is definitely something no other e-bike manufacturer can say right now.but Reevo takes things up a notch, with automatic brake lighting integrated into the rims. The headlight and rear light also turn on and off automatically, with all the lighting kicking out 800 lumens combined. Describing them as “pure engineering excellence”, Beno say Reevo’s wheels are patent-pending and are built around a strong, lightweight core with “triple sealed technology.”
Designed for urban use, the reevo bike has an advanced anti-theft system featuring a triple impenetrable barrier — first, the handlebars have a fingerprint reader, second a padlock, and third, the bike can be GPS-tracked, allowing you to follow from your phone the movement of the bike in a defined area.Beno say the fingerprint technology to lock/unlock the bike paired with the integrated, automatic lock housed inside the frame to protect it from bolt cropper attacks should made Reevo “virtually theft proof”.
No details have been revealed about the motor. There will be EU (250 watt motor) and US (750 watt) versions of the Reevo, with both taking three hours to fully charge.According to the official Facebook page, early birds will be able to get it for 43 percent off at $1,899, with MRSP set at $3,349.
