This Micro Scalextric Slot Car Set features the Aston Martin DB5 and the Jaguar XF as they square off on the track just like the full-size vehicles in a chase scene in Matera, Italy from the film.We are currently in quarantine and this has been one of the big hits with children.
This set features an Aston Martin DB5 taking on the Jaguar XF, and includes 13.4 feet of track, with 9 track layouts which includes a loop-the-loop and half pipe.
With speed limiting hand controllers you can be sure the kids will always be having fun with this set as the cars will be less likely to fly off the track. Thankfully, the cars are quite durable so you don’t need to worry if they go around a corner too quickly and crash into each other or your furniture.
The product is presented in a beautiful matte finish box with eye catching artwork that looks and feels really premium. Its James Bond themed so cars are modelled on that and it arrived in quite a large box.for us it fits perfectly on a coffee table which is a big reason to go with the micro size. This battery-powered set is easy to put together and the cars are compatible with other 1:64 scale tracks as well.The nice thing is that this toy is modular and expandable, it is compatible with the Micro Scalextric range that has the 1:64 scale track, so you can add to it to create larger tracks.
This is a basic type set-up so no tricks other than the loop but we still had fun.Inside is a large reusable cardboard carton that lets you neatly store the track and cars in its box, with the cars proudly presented and displayed through a window in the box. The product requires 6x AA batteries which are not included, so don’t forget to get enough batteries if purchasing as a gift.
Overall, this is a great starter kit and will bring many hours of fun.
