Skil markets itself as a brand that caters to the newest generation of DIYers. Every Skil brushless tool used since the relaunch has exceeded expectations in quality and performance considering their prices. It’s a good hammer drill easy to use. Nice drill. Comparatively light in weight. Powerful. After using this drill on multiple projects, I’m amazing at the power and the quick charge feature. this is one of the best drills I’ve used in the past few years.
Are Skil power tools any good?
While I think they still need some work one some of the tools, the core tools are great and an easy buy, If you are a homeowner or small contractor looking for a power tool with the features of a professional brand, plenty of power but something that won’t kill your profits, I think Skil is going to be a viable choice. The two speeds are amazingly useful and you can still regulate speed somewhat with the trigger so you can go very slow if needed. It feels better in the hand than any drill tried out with a nice rubber grip feel.

Very good price versus value. Great little drill. Got a lot of torque for the size. Small enough to fit in the small toolbox with the bit out. Perfect for around the house stuff. Lots of power to drive screws and powers through metal, wood, plastic, masonry, etc. The battery seems to last forever on this too! I love the button that shows how much charge is remaining. I highly recommend this drill!
